My house was design for a typical family of four ( mother , father, daughter, and son ) with a dog. I tried to design a comfortable cozy home that was affordable yet sustainable. I focused mainly on natural lighting by incorporating plenty of windows. I additionally place a indoor courtyard that could was to designed to improve the indoor air quality.

The dialogue between client and architect is about as intimate as any conversation you can have, because when you are talking about building a house, you're talking about dreams - Robert A. M. Stern, 1985

--This Shipping Container House is the dream that I accomplished for Three different people with Three different Personalities.--

This design occupied a space of size of 25' x 100' lot, and the building itself was occupied 25' x 70' space. Basically, the concept of design was to use green colored glass to create spatial feeling for a single family, which contains a single parent and an adult child. In order to make a tight connection of these two persons, the triple height and double height space were used to mae the different feelings of spaces and the integration of this family.

The main objective of my design was to separate the spaces since my clients are three roommates. By separating the rooms into different floors I was able to move the design vertically and create the spaces. The rooms are individually designed according to the occupations of my clients. The hobby room is located on the bottom floor and is a dramatically different space then the rest.

This house is designed for a family with adult kids. I took the shipping containers, adding, subtracting, and rotating them to create the space that was necessary to meet the program. On the first floor I incorporate the hobbies (oil painting, playing the piano) with living spaces. The top floor is the private area of the house with great views on either balcony.

The Container House has been designed for a family of 4 people (mom, dad, grandma, and son). Five shipping containers have been cut and bent to articulate the spaces. The skylights were the result of that process. They not only allow light and air to come in, but they also tie all pieces together and give the house its character.

My client is a single dad with 2 kids. Both of his children are strategic players, one a chess champ and the other a competitive video gamer. With their main hobbies in mind, I stacked the containers vertically and longitudinally apart. This placement of containers will provide a dynamic circulation throughout their living space.
